STEM education is based on rigorous curriculum that integrates subjects, as opposed to teaching them separately in isolation. STEM allows teachers to work as a team to deliver instruction that is driven by innovation, real-world problem solving, exploration, and student centered development of creative ideas and solutions. The PTA supports East Side's efforts to engineer a strong STEM program through grants and volunteer hours.
